Please welcome Arkansas to the RetroRoadmap stable of stars, with the inclusion of these two stop-and-photo worthy vintage signs from the TX / AR border town of Texarkana!
We had hoped to make a longer stop in Arkansas during our 1-day 12-hour drive from Austin, TX to Memphis, TN, but we had to make do with this short jaunt down Route 71, which is seriously right on the border between 2 states. One side of the road is Texas, the other side is Arkansas.
Luckily these cheery vintage signs fell on the AR side of the street, where the sun was shining and we also got some good thrifting in (I’ll show you my quilt in an upcoming post!)

Wish we could have spent more time Arkansas (which I keep on trying to abbreviate as if we were in AlasKa instead of ARkanas) but glad we were able to catch these cool signs while we were there!
