Hey folks, just a quick pop in from the road- having a swell time in Mass, and catching up on a lot of wonderful places I hope to share with the world as soon as I return.
Highlights so far:
Milk bottle shaped restaurant in Raynham still rocking
Henry’s Root Beer in Taunton repainted and reopened as The Stand
Mill Pond Diner in Mattapoisett Wareham, tasty and photogenic
My fave Mid Mod Liquor store on the Bourne Rotary still hopping
Tin Man Diner reopened in North Falmouth in old diner site
Wellfleet Drive In packing them in at night and during the day
Kane’s donuts in Saugus- tasty treats and classic decor
Salem Willows- popcorn, vintage amusements, carousel
Leaning tower of Pizza still looms large over Route 1 Saugus
Iconic orange dinosaur puts Route 1 mini golf on the Retro Roadmap
And that’s just from the past few days! I’ve taken loads of photos, and the weather has turned rainy, so hopefully I will have a post or two up while I’m still on the road!
Am I missing your fave Mass Retro Roadmap destinations? Put them in the comments below, so I know what to add to my list!
