Lancaster PA Retro Vintage Road Trip Fun!

I just had one of the best days of retro roadmap vintage fun today in Lancaster County PA and can’t wait to share it all with you! I will write up proper postings for each place but here’s a sneak peek of some of the retro fun I had in Lancaster and along the Lincoln Highway.

Not only did I go to a most excellent vintage shop in Lancaster, Mommalicious:

I also stumbled upon a great mid century modern home store Zap Home:

Ate dinner in a diner:

bought some hex sign gifts for the Retro Roadkids:

Pennsylvania Dutch Souvenirs

And saw Amish in buggies and on scooters! Even with all that, there’s still loads more to do in that area, can’t wait to go back!

I did not know that you were a “Lancastonian, Lancasterer, Lancasterite”! I love that place, so much hipper than anyone would think for sure! Sorry to steal your thunder, I just happened across Zap Home when I was walking back to my car. It’s fab! We should meet up in town some time, I still want to check out the Neptune (it’s been years) and anyplace else in town that’s Retro Roadmapworthy!

    Yes, I’m a Lancaster gal!

Oh how I remember many a drunkin night out at the Neptune! It’s also a great place for sunday morning brunch! Lancaster has gotten way cooler in the past years. First Friday art walks are fab! Well now, I will have to think of a few roadworthy joints for us to check out!

I’ve only been to the Neptune in the Sunday (hungover) state, about 10 yrs ago when my sister and I drove to Lancaster from Mass- and after meeting the boy that would later become my RetroRoadhusband! I definitely know what you mean about Lancaster becoming cooler- we love it out there. Would love to get the insiders tour for Retro Roadmap, I’m sure you know of places I’ve never even thought of. Fun!

The Lancaster area is such a neat place to visit, there is so much to see and do around there.

How many places in the world can you get on a steam train and go to paradise!

Never heard of the Zap store, have to check it out on my next trip… my Mom has one of those orange chairs in the picture, it’s been in the family since it was new, we bought it as a “second” (minor cosmetic defect) from Herman Miller in something like 1964.

Thanks for swinging by the Retro Roadmap Jeff! Yep, indeed I am a fan of the Lancaster PA area and all its wacky names, places, Amish and other fun. The Zap store is in downtown Lancaster and was a nice big place full of vintage goodness- how cool that you have an original Miller chair in the family- I’m sure it’s a keeper!
