Kolaches in Texas – Random Roadtrip Surprises are The Best!

When you see a sign saying that Czechoslovakian pastries are for sale on the Texas roadside you just gotta stop! (even if it means getting the “Bert face” from RetroRoad Husband because we had to turn around )

Still family owned and operated since 1912, Hruska’s is a perfect random roadside stop in Ellinger TX, between Houston and Austin. And the kolaches are tasty too!

Mr.Wonders has pulled a “Bert Face” or two of the years 🙂

I love that Hruska’s has a “Guide to Deliciousness”!

I had to get that “Guide to Deliciousness” in there somewhere, it was too cool a phrase not to share! And I was singing “put on the Bert Face” like James Brown for a few miles after I posted that. Having a great time!
