Jimmy John’s West Chester PA Burns on 70th Birthday But OPEN AGAIN!

Update 12/4/2010 – Good News!!  folks over at the Jimmy John’s Pipin’ Hot Sanwiches Facebook Page indicate that the restaurant officially re-opened and is ready for business!!

Through the power of Twitter this morning I just found out some awful news, that Jimmy John’s Pipin Hot Sandwiches in West Chester PA, known for their hot dogs and nostalgic train inspired decor, is currently on fire.

Even more heartwrenching is that today was supposed to be a big celebration for their 70th birthday. We don’t know the extent of the devastation, but will update this post as we find out.

Our hearts go out to all of the folks and families affected by this, and hope that no one was hurt in the blaze.
You Ate Here - Jimmy John's Westchester PA

I’m thankful to the folks over at Twitter,  http://twitter.com/guerilladrivein especially for hepping us to this very sad news on such a beautiful spring weekend.

Here’s a link to our post about Jimmy John’s from last June. This is why I try to share all of these cool old places with the world – you never know when they might not be there anymore. Go enjoy them while you can!

Follow the news on Jimmy John’s on Twitter at http://twitter.com/savejimmyjohns and it looks like the Jimmy John’s Facebook page is being updated as well.
