The American Treasure Tour – Oaks PA

The American Treasure tour has quickly become a fave destination for Retro Roadmap pals and readers alike. With over 100,000 square feet of space stocked top to bottom with vintage cars, collectibles, animated animals, calliopes and more, you’ll be amazed and all the cool stuff you’ll see!
Ronald McDonald and The Collection

As I noted in the post from my visit here in August of 2012:

The sheer volume of items, the showcasing of them from floor to ceiling, the mass quantities, it’s all wonderfully overwhelming, and you should really experience it yourself, in person.

And what might you see on your 90 minute guided tour?

Off the top of my head:

Nickelodeons, player pianos, vintage records, movie posters, vintage signs, Halloween masks, band organs and calliopes, carnival rides, vintage cars, arcade games, antique store displays, circus memorabilia, antique music boxes, vintage toys, dolls, clown cars, theatre organs, vintage motor cycles and scooters, model airplanes, holiday displays, player pianos – JUST TO NAME A FEW!

In fact, the display area is so large and so cram packed with delightful vintage goodies that you are actually transported around in a TRAM CAR to see and hear all of what they have on display. This is a good thing too, because you’ll see so much on the tour that you’ll actually want to have a seat to absorb it all.

But wait, there’s MORE!

This time round Mod B has gotten us extra special access to the collection, where, after the 90 minute guided tour, we’ll be allowed to roam around the collection- off the tram- for a FULL HALF HOUR to admire everything close up and take all sorts of photos.

Interested in seeing all this cool stuff AND meeting folks who are into cool vintage and retro things? Come along! I’ll maybe even do a little Retro Roadmap meetup beforehand or after at one of the fine establishments in Phoenixville, Retro Roadmap’s hometown and just next door to Oaks.

The Retro Roadmap American Treasure Tour tickets are $20 per person for the full 2 hour tour. Tickets must be paid for in advance, to me, so I can give the fine folks at the ATT a head count and present them with the full payment two weeks before we arrive.

Great pics, Betty! Those photos remind me of the toy museum in San Fran I used to work at. I’m back in the east coast now, so maybe I could include this as a stop once the tour bus for sale my dad got to start his business gets fixed. Cheers.
