Who am I to waste a drive through Somerville MA? Even though these diners were closed by the time we rolled into town, they're still worthy of inclusion on the Retro Roadmap. So get to Somerville early, and get your dine-on :-)
 Buddy's Truckstop Diner
This teenty tiny 1929 era Worcester Lunch Car diner has been at this location since the early 1950s. So tiny that there's only room for the counter with 20 or so stools in it. Local folks had a scare when Buddy's closed temporarily back in the summer of 2012, but the diner is now up and running again, and is a go-to place for a hearty breakfast.

We stopped in here for breakfast on Monday morning. My corned beef hash was some of the best I’ve ever had. The Worcester semi streamliner has to be my favorite model of diner, and this one is in great shape. Great food in a great building in a great location. What’s not to love?
