What a terrific find! I’ve never heard of it but will have to check it out now, since it’s not that far away!

Thanks Gunnar! It’s a very cool place – plan on spending some time to absorb it all. We had the place to ourselves so we took loads of photos, and learned a lot!

Old radios rule. I have several woodies and a pink plastic clock radio with tubes from the late fifties that still works.

Oh how neat! We’ve got an aqua one that still works, I got it at a garage sale years ago. Also my dad’s Telefunken that I’ve probably mentioned before, as it means a lot to me. And then we inherited a couple of non working old radios from the basement of my dad’s aunt, and they’ve hung out in our basement for years. Don’t cringe – but I actually asked Retro Roadhusband to “gut” one, and we placed a speaker inside it, that is attached to our stereo in the other room. So now I can hear the music in the kitchen AND it looks much cooler than the goofy new speaker. At least it’s not just gathering dust in the basement anymore 🙂
